Kaypro Diskettes (DSDD)
The Synergy II+ used a CP/M based Kaypro computer. I have heard rumors of an IBM PC program that
can read these disks and actually run them! If anybody has any information on this, let me know!
- Synergy Host Control Aug 86 (V3.15)
- VCART 1-6
- VLIB Disks 1-13
There is a rumor that there were hundreds of disks of voices in existence at
the DKI workshop. One of the options in the 7/1/86 Mulogix price listing was the
VLIB, 600 voices on disks for $150. Another option was WC-1234, the Wendy Carlos disk library for $130.
The blank cartridge for use with a 2764 type EPROM was $30. The TOLKIT was the Synergy 3XX system
software source code and SYNHCS (Synergy Host Control System) source code
on 5 disks for $250. Then there was the S322R, Synergy internal software
EPROM set for $50.
Does anybody have these? If so, please email me at the address below.
Everyone should also take a look at the chapter on "Digital Keyboards
Synergy & Crumar GDS--Additive Synthesis Epitomized" by Mark Vail in his
book, Vintage Synthesizers, pp. 182-189. One interesting fact: Stoney Stockell
built a rack-mounted Synergy for Barry Gould. It would be neat if we could
see Stoney's "plans" for making that.....
