What chips should I use for a new design?
It's easier to say which chips to avoid: 3310, 3328, 3340, and 3391.
Many people have asked about the 3328 4-pole lowpass filter. For new designs, simply use
either the 3378 or 3379. These are combinations of a 3328 and a 3330. They will sound the same.
Both of these chips are available today in large quantities. For VCA designs, use the 3382 (now
called a PA382) which has better specs and is readily available.
Datasheet Formats
The datasheets are scanned images at 200 x 200 DPI. Formats available for downloading are
GIF files or Adobe Acrobat 3.0 PDF files. Note that the file sizes are roughly the same for the
Zipped GIFs or the PDF. Most datasheets are two pages long. On average, each data sheet set is 210K.
